Edit or delete a model

Change a model configuration or remove it from AI Studio.

Before you start​

You can edit or delete only models that show the Actions menu. Models that ScoutIT AI manages for your account can't be edited or deleted.

Edit a model​

  1. On the Models screen, open the Actions menu on the model's row.
  2. Select Edit configuration. The Edit Model Configuration page opens. Provider and Model ID are shown but can't be changed.
  3. Change Model Name if needed.
  4. For a self-hosted model, change Base URL if needed. To replace the stored key, enter a new one in API Key. Leave API Key blank to keep the stored key.
  5. In Context Window, enter a value, or leave it blank to use the provider's value.
  6. Change Visibility if needed. Only the person who created the model can change its visibility.
  7. Select Update Configuration.

What happens next​

The message Model configuration updated. appears.

Delete a model​

  1. On the Models screen, open the Actions menu on the model's row.
  2. Select Delete configuration.
  3. In the Delete configuration? dialog, select Delete. This can't be undone.

The message Model configuration deleted. appears.

For a model that uses your own API key, the dialog is titled Remove external AI key? and lists the models that use that key. Select Remove to continue. Agents that use those models stop working until the key is added again.

Troubleshooting​

  • Only the creator can change visibility. ask the person who created the model to change it.
  • If a context window error says the value is higher than the provider's limit, enter a lower value or leave the field blank.
