View MCP history

MCP history shows how an MCP has been used by an agent, an automation or model chats.

Steps​

  1. In MCP Builder, open the actions menu on the MCP.
  2. Select History. The history opens in a new tab.
  3. In Monitor, choose what to look at: an agent, an automation or model chat.
  4. Pick which one.
  5. Choose a range: Today, 7 days or 30 days. History is kept for 30 days.

What you see​

  • Summary tiles for invocations, failures, tool calls, response time and the last invocation.
  • Invocations per day, What went wrong and Tools used.
  • A table of invocations with When, Outcome, Tools, Calls and Duration. Select All or Needs attention to filter it.

Select Details on an invocation to see its calls. Arguments and responses are visible only to the owner of the MCP.

Troubleshooting​

  • No invocations in this window: try a wider range. Activity is recorded from when capture started, and earlier runs are not filled in.
  • If no agent or automation uses the MCP, there is nothing to show. Add the MCP to an agent first. See Create an agent.
