MCP Tags

Tags group MCPs, projects and agents, for example on the MCP Builder list. Tags are shared with everyone in your account. Anyone can attach a tag, but only the person who created a tag can rename or delete it.

Open tag management​

You can manage tags in two places:

  • In MCP Builder, open the tag filter and select Manage tags.
  • If your account has no tags yet, select Create a tag in the MCP Builder toolbar. This opens the Manage Tags page.

The Manage Tags page lists each tag with Used by and Created. Type in Search tags… to find a tag, and switch between list and tile views.

Create a tag​

  1. Select New tag.
  2. In Name, enter a name, for example Marketing. Names can be up to 40 characters and must be unique in your account.
  3. Select Create tag.

Rename a tag​

  1. Find the tag and open its edit option.
  2. Change the Name.
  3. Select Save changes.

Delete a tag​

  1. Find the tag and open its delete option.
  2. Check what carries the tag.
  3. Select Delete tag. This can't be undone.

Deleting a tag removes it from everything that carries it. The items themselves are not changed.

Apply tags to an MCP​

When you create or edit an MCP, or add one from the Library, use Select tags… to pick tags. See Edit an MCP.

Troubleshooting​

  • A tag with that name already exists in this account. choose another name.
  • Give the tag a name. enter a name.
  • Tag names must be 40 characters or fewer. shorten the name.
  • Only the person who created this tag can rename or delete it. tags marked Created by a colleague belong to someone else.
  • Your session has expired. Reload the page and try again. reload the page.
