Publish an agent to Mission Control
Publish an agent to Mission Control so people in your account can find it and chat with it there. You can also change a published agent's name and tags, or remove it.
Before you start
On the Agents screen, only the agent's owner sees the Mission Control action.
Publish an agent
- Open the Mission Control dialog in one of these ways:
- On the Agents screen, open the agent's Actions menu and select Publish to Mission Control.
- On the agent details page, open the Actions menu and select Publish to Mission Control.
- In Name, enter the name to show in Mission Control. The name is required and can be up to 80 characters. It starts as the agent's own name.
- Optional: under Tags, add tags.
- Leave Active in Mission Control ticked so the agent is available there straight away.
- Optional: tick Leading agent to make this agent your account's leading agent. See Choose a leading agent.
- If the agent has sub-agents, you see Also publish this agent's sub-agents? Tick each sub-agent to publish, and change its Name if you need to.
- Select Publish.
What happens next
The message Agent published to Mission Control. appears. The action on the agent now reads Edit Mission Control.
If some sub-agents couldn't be published, a message starting Agent published, but these sub-agents failed: names them. Open the dialog again and try once more.
Choose a leading agent
Your account has one leading agent. It sits at the root of the org chart. When you tick Leading agent and publish, any agent that was the lead before stops being the lead.
A sub-agent can't be the lead. For a sub-agent, Leading agent is turned off and you see A sub-agent can't be the lead. Detach it from its parent first, or pick a top-level agent.
Change a published agent
- Open the agent's Actions menu and select Edit Mission Control. The Edit Mission Control agent dialog opens.
- Change the details you need. Untick Active in Mission Control to hide the agent without removing it.
- Select Update.
Remove an agent from Mission Control
- Open the agent's Actions menu and select Edit Mission Control.
- Select Remove from Mission Control.
The message Agent removed from Mission Control. appears.
If the agent has published sub-agents, the dialog tells you they will move to the top level when you remove it.
Troubleshooting
- Tags are unavailable right now. you can still publish without tags. Add them later from Edit Mission Control.
