The Blender™
The Blender™ correlates alarms and alerts from your application, network, infrastructure and business monitoring sources. It turns scattered alert noise into one analysis, highlighting repeat patterns, likely root causes and Six Sigma improvement opportunities.
To open the screen, go to AnalyzeIT → The Blender™.
Before you start
The Blender™ analyses alerts that ScoutIT AI already receives. For more about alerts, see Alerts overview.
Ask a question
You can pick a predefined question or type your own. You need one or the other.
- In the Blend source signals panel, choose a question in one of these ways:
- Open Select a predefined question and pick a question. Questions are grouped under Six Sigma, Semantic, Pattern and Executive. The × asked badge next to a question shows how many times it has been asked.
- Type a question in Enter your own question.
- Optionally, set Days (1–90, blank = auto) to choose how many days of alerts to analyse. Leave it blank to let The Blender™ choose. Some predefined questions fill in this value for you.
- Select Blend and analyze.
While the analysis runs, the button shows Analyzing… and the results area shows a Blending data timer.
Picking a predefined question clears Enter your own question, and typing your own question clears the predefined choice. Only one question is sent.
What happens next
The results area shows a Blended response:
- A tag with the question type, such as Semantic. For Six Sigma questions, it also shows the number of days analysed.
- A Critic score, when one is available.
- The written analysis.
- Critic feedback, which you can expand to read, when available.
- A chart, when one is available. Six Sigma questions can show an alarm-type distribution chart.
Use the icons at the top right of the result to rate, copy, email, share or download it. See Work with analysis results.

Troubleshooting
- You see "Select a predefined question or enter your own — one is required." Pick a question or type one, then try again.
- The result shows "Analysis failed". The analysis couldn't finish. Try again, or try a different question. If it keeps failing, contact support.
