The Predictor™

The Predictor™ turns your improvement work into a measurable plan. It checks the 30-day moving average RPI Score for your selection and works out its top average deduction buckets over the last 100 days. It then runs Monte Carlo simulations to show the RPI Scores you could reach and the improvements it suggests.

If The Predictor™ forecasts a lower score, some of your deduction buckets are trending in a dangerous direction.

To open the screen, go to AnalyzeIT → The Predictor™.

Before you start​

  • The application or location you want to forecast must already be monitored by ScoutIT AI.
  • If you're new to RPI, read What is RPI? first.

Generate a prediction​

  1. In the Predictor Analysis panel, under Select analysis type, choose Applications or Locations.
  2. Open Select application (or Select location) and choose the item you want to forecast.
  3. Select Generate Prediction.

While the prediction runs, the button shows Generating prediction… and the results area shows a timer.

What happens next​

The Analysis Results panel shows the forecast for your selection:

  • A tag showing whether you analysed an application or a location.
  • An Analytical Summary with the forecast and suggested improvements to your current deductions.
  • A histogram of the forecasted RPI distribution, when one is available.

Use the icons at the top right of the result to rate, copy, email, share or download it. See Work with analysis results.

Select History to open Predictor History. See Review analysis history.

Troubleshooting​

  • The results area shows an error. The prediction couldn't finish. Try again. If it keeps failing, contact support.
  • The item you want isn't in the list. Check that you chose the right analysis type. Applications and locations have separate lists.
