The Prophet™

The Prophet™ analyses live network traffic paths and identifies probable issues that may be in your future. You tell it how far back in time to look, and it uses that flow history to forecast your network path.

To open the screen, go to AnalyzeIT → The Prophet™.

Before you start​

The location you want to analyse must already be monitored by ScoutIT AI.

Forecast a network path​

  1. In the Forecast Network Path panel, open How far back in time to analyse? and choose a lookback window.
  2. Open Select location(s) and choose a location.
  3. Select Prophesy network Path.

While the forecast runs, the button shows Prophesying network path… and the results area shows a timer.

What happens next​

The Prophecy Results panel shows the forecast:

  • The location name and the lookback window you chose.
  • The written analysis.
  • A network path performance chart, when one is available. It shows the average round-trip time (RTT) and standard deviation for each hop.

Use the icons at the top right of the result to rate, copy, email, share or download it. See Work with analysis results.

Select History to open Prophet History. See Review analysis history.

Troubleshooting​

  • The results area shows an error. The forecast couldn't finish. Try again. If it keeps failing, contact support.
