The Trender™
The Trender™ helps you prove continuous improvement. It takes the historical RPI Scores of an application or location and compares the daily RPI Score with its exponential moving average (EMA) and its Kaufman 50-day adaptive moving average (KAMA). It follows the Lean Six Sigma DMAIC process.
To open the screen, go to AnalyzeIT → The Trender™.
Before you start
- The application or location you want to check must already be monitored by ScoutIT AI.
- If you're new to RPI, read What is RPI? first.
Run a trend analysis
- In the Trend Analysis panel, under Select analysis type, choose Applications or Locations.
- Open Select application (or Select location) and choose the item you want to check.
- Select Analyse Trend.
While the analysis runs, the button shows Analysing trend… and the results area shows a timer.
What happens next
The Analysis Results panel shows the result for your selection:
- A tag showing whether you analysed an application or a location.
- The trend metrics and an Analytical Summary.
- A chart of the daily RPI against the 50-day moving average and KAMA, when one is available.
Read the result
- If the daily RPI Score runs consistently above the moving average lines, your team is making a measurable improvement to reliability.
- If it runs below the lines, use The Predictor™ to find out how to improve the score and predict the effect of your changes.
Use the icons at the top right of the result to rate, copy, email, share or download it. See Work with analysis results.

Select History to open Trender History. See Review analysis history.
Troubleshooting
- The results area shows an error. The analysis couldn't finish. Try again. If it keeps failing, contact support.
- The item you want isn't in the list. Check that you chose the right analysis type. Applications and locations have separate lists.
