Schedule report automations
A report automation asks an Agentic Transformation Platform (ATP) agent to run an analysis on a regular schedule. The result is emailed to the people you choose, and can also be posted to a chat channel. This page shows you how to add, change and remove report automations.
Before you start
- Open the assessment page whose agent you want to schedule. See the Agentic Transformation Platform overview.
- Have the email addresses of the people who should receive each report.
- If you want reports posted to Google Chat, Slack or Microsoft Teams, get an incoming webhook address for the channel from your chat administrator.
Open the automations for a page
- On the assessment page, select Automations in the page header.
- The Automations panel opens, titled with the page name. It lists the Automation directory: the Recurring AI question automations for this agent.
Use Search automations by name to find an automation in a long list. If there are none yet, the panel shows No automations yet.
Add a report automation
- In the Automations panel, select Add automation. The Add report automation form opens.
- In Automation name, enter a name that says what the report is for.
- Check Agent. It is set to this page's agent and can't be changed.
- In Frequency, select Daily, Weekly or Monthly.
- If you chose Weekly, select one or more Days of week. If you chose Monthly, select a Date.
- In Scheduled Time, enter the time the analysis should run. The time uses your browser's time zone.
- Select Enabled so the automation runs. Clear it to save the automation without running it.
- In Notification emails, enter the email addresses that receive each report, one per line or separated by commas.
- Optional: enter a Google Chat webhook, Slack webhook or Teams webhook to post each report to a chat channel.
- In Analysis instructions, tell the agent what to analyze, what evidence to focus on and what the report should include. Use the same style of instruction you give when you first run an analysis on the page.
- Select Create automation.
What happens next
The new automation appears in the Automation directory. At each scheduled time, the agent runs the analysis and ScoutIT AI emails the report to the addresses in Notification emails. If you added webhooks, the report is also posted to those channels.
Change or remove an automation
Each automation in the directory has these actions:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Edit | Opens the Edit report automation form. Make your changes, then select Update automation. |
| History | Shows the automation's past runs. |
| Delete | Removes the automation after you confirm. |
To pause an automation without deleting it, edit it and clear Enabled.
