The top bar
The top bar runs across the top of every ScoutIT AI page. Use it to move between apps and accounts, change the theme, get help and manage your own account.
The main row
The ScoutIT AI wordmark sits at the left of the top bar. In Mission Control, your account's own logo can appear there instead.
The controls on the right are, from left to right:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Apps button | Opens the scout Apps list so you can move to another app. See Switch apps and accounts. |
| Account switcher | Shows the account you're working in and opens the Switch Account list. It appears only when you belong to more than one account. See Switch apps and accounts. |
| Theme button | Switches between the dark, light and classic looks. See Light and dark theme. |
| Support | The life-buoy icon. Opens the Contact support dialog. See Contact support. |
| Help | The question-mark icon. Opens the Help menu, described below. |
| Account menu | Your name and initials. Opens your account menu, described below. |
Bishop AI Assistant
In the Event Intelligence System (EIS), a BI button also appears in the top bar. Hold the pointer over it to see Ask Bishop.
- Select the BI button. The Bishop AI Assistant panel opens.
- Type your question in the How can I assist you today? box, or select one of the Suggested Questions.
- Press Enter to send. Press Shift+Enter to start a new line instead.
While Bishop works on an answer, you see Bishop is thinking. After an answer, you see Was this response helpful?
To start over, select Clear chat, then confirm Clear this conversation? Select Close Bishop to close the panel, or Expand Bishop to make it larger.
The Help menu
Select Help to open the menu. It can include:
- Documentation: opens these product guides in a new tab.
- Get Started: setup basics. Shown in EIS.
- Help: in-app docs and guidance. Shown in EIS.
The account menu
Select your name to open the account menu. The heading shows who you're signed in as. The menu has:
- My Profile: your personal details and multi-factor authentication. See Your user profile.
- Change Password: see Change your password.
- Manage Users: users and access. Administrators only. See Manage users.
- Manage Branding: logo and appearance. Administrators only. See Manage branding.
- Log out: ends your session.
The navigation row
The second row of the top bar holds the navigation for the app you're in.
- In most apps, each section of the app has its own menu. Select a section name to see its pages, then select a page to open it. The section you're in is highlighted.
- In Mission Control, a menu button at the left opens the Mission Control menu sidebar. On chat pages, a Mission Control Home button takes you back to the Mission Control home page. Mission Control's tabs also sit in this row.
The right of the navigation row can show your account's plan, for example your plan name.
Troubleshooting
- I don't see the account switcher. You belong to only one account.
- I don't see Manage Users or Manage Branding. These are shown only to administrators.
- I don't see Documentation in the Help menu. Use this site directly, or contact support.
