Manage entities
The Manage Entities screen lists every entity ScoutIT AI tracks for your account, grouped by entity type. Use it to find an entity and look at its details, recent metrics, alarms and, for agent entities, logs.
To open the screen, go to ManageIT → Manage Entities.
This screen is for viewing. You can't create, edit or delete entities here.
Browse the entity collection
The Entity Collection panel shows the total number of entities that match your filters. Entities are grouped into one collapsible section per type. Each section heading shows the type and how many matching entities it holds. Select a heading to collapse or expand it.
Each section has a table with these columns:
- Name
- Type
- Product
- Actions
When a section has more than one page of entities, it has its own pager. It shows which entities you are viewing (for example, "Showing 1-10 of 42"), the current page, and Previous and Next buttons. Paging one section doesn't change the others.
Filter and search entities
- Choose a Status: All, Active, Inactive, Critical or Warning.
- Choose a Product. Each option shows how many entities it has.
- Choose a Type. Each option shows how many entities it has.
- Type in the search box to match text in the entity name, type, product or ID.
The sections update as you change a filter or type. Select All in a filter to clear it.
View an entity
Each row has action icons. Each one opens a panel on the right side of the screen. Select the × in the panel, or select outside it, to close it.
View details
Select View Details. The panel has two tabs:
- Entity Details lists the fields recorded for the entity.
- Configuration lists the entity's configuration fields. If there are none, you see No configuration data available.
View metrics
Select View Metrics. The panel shows a table with Measure Name, Time and Measure Value. If the entity has no metrics, you see No metrics found.
View alarms
Select View Alarms. The panel shows a table with Status, Type, Message, Severity, Source and Time Stamp. Severity is colour-coded for critical, major, minor and warning alarms. If the entity has no alarms, you see No alarms data available for this entity.
View logs
View Logs appears only for agent entities. The panel shows the entity's source and a list of conversations. Each conversation shows the question asked and its number of Critic Entries. Expand a conversation to see a table of Timestamp and Critic logs. If there's nothing to show, you see No SOT data available for this entity.
