Edit how an agent looks

You can change how an agent or app appears in Mission Control: its name, its picture and its tags. This page shows you how.

Before you start

The changes apply to your whole account, so everyone who uses Mission Control sees them. Tags are shared with the rest of ScoutIT AI, so changing an agent's tags here changes them everywhere the agent appears.

Open the dialog

  1. Point at the agent's card on the Org Chart tab, or at an app's card on the Apps tab.
  2. Select the gear (Presentation settings).

The dialog is titled Edit agent for an agent and Edit app for an app.

Change the name

  1. In Agent name (or App name for an app), type the new name. The name is required and can be up to 64 characters.
  2. Select Save.

Change the picture

  1. Select the picture. Change appears when you point at it.
  2. Choose an image file.
  3. Select Save.

To go back to the default picture, select Reset to default image (the cross on the picture), then select Save.

Change the tags

  1. Under Tags, tick or clear tags.
  2. Select Save.

What happens next

The dialog closes and the tab refreshes with the new name, picture and tags. To leave without saving, select Cancel.

Troubleshooting

  • The image is too large (max 2 MB). Choose a smaller image.
  • Please upload an image file. The file you chose isn't an image. Choose an image file.
  • Could not store the avatar. Please try again. Try again. If it keeps happening, contact support.
  • There's no Change option on the picture. Picture uploads aren't available on your account. You can still change the name and tags.
  • Presentation was saved, but Mission Control could not refresh the directory. Your change was saved. Reload the page to see it.
