Check an agent's governance

Each agent card on the Org Chart carries a governance marker that shows how the agent was last assessed. This page explains what the marker means and how to see the details behind it.

Read the marker

Each marker pairs a colour with a symbol, so you can read it without relying on colour:

SymbolLabelMeaning
✓Looking goodThe latest assessment is in the best band.
!Keep an eye on itThe latest assessment is in the middle band.
✕Needs reviewThe latest assessment is in the lowest band.
−Not assessedThere is no completed assessment yet.

While the marker is still loading, it reads Assessment loading. If the assessment history can't be read, it reads Assessment unavailable.

Open the governance details

  1. On the Org Chart tab, find the agent's card.
  2. Select the information button on the card (Governance details).
  3. Read the dialog, then select Close, press Escape, or select outside the dialog.

What the dialog shows

The dialog is titled with the agent's name. Under Cortex governance it shows:

  • The status label, such as Looking good.
  • AI² score, as a percentage, when the agent has one.
  • Classification, when the assessment includes one.
  • Assessed and the date and time of the assessment, in your local time. If the assessment ran but didn't produce a result, this line reads Cortex ran instead.
  • A note when there is no result, such as Cortex has not assessed this worker yet.

Under What the colours mean, the dialog lists each colour with the score range it stands for.

The colour comes from the most recent assessment. When the score and the classification disagree, the dialog shows the more cautious colour. The marker is advisory only. It never pauses the agent or blocks chat.

Troubleshooting

  • The dialog says Cortex history could not be loaded just now. Try again in a moment. Close the dialog and open it again after a short wait.
  • The dialog says Governance details are temporarily unavailable. Try again later. If it keeps happening, contact support.
