Mission Control overview
Mission Control is the ScoutIT AI app where you work with the agents and apps published to your account. You chat with agents, organize conversations into projects, and hand tasks to agents to run. This page explains how Mission Control is laid out and where to find each part.
Open Mission Control
- Sign in to ScoutIT AI.
- Open the app switcher in the header.
- Select Mission Control.
Mission Control always opens on the Org Chart tab.
If you can't open Mission Control, it may not be enabled for your account. Contact support for help.
The tabs
The tabs sit in the header, so they stay visible while you move around Mission Control. The tab you are working under stays highlighted, even when you open a chat, a project or an app.
| Tab | What it shows | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Org Chart | Every published agent as a card, arranged by who works with whom. Select a card to chat with that agent. | Browse the org chart |
| Chats | Your conversations, and a composer to start a new one. | Use the Chats tab |
| Projects | Your projects. Each project groups conversations, instructions, files and tasks. | Manage projects |
| Apps | The apps deployed to your account. Select an app to open it. | Open apps |
Some accounts see a Groups tab instead of Chats and Projects. Groups shows the agents in folders by category. See Browse agents by group.
While a tab loads, a small message such as Loading chats… shows in the middle of the screen.
The page header
On the Org Chart and Apps tabs, the page header reads Mission Control with a short line under it:
- Org Chart: Operate published agents for this account.
- Apps: Operate published apps for this account.
The search box and tag filter for the tab sit on the right of the header. The Chats and Projects tabs have their own heading instead.
What you can do
- Chat with an agent. Select an agent card to open its chat screen. See Chat with an agent.
- Keep track of conversations. Rename, delete, search and file your chats. See Manage agent conversations.
- Automate a chat. Send the same questions to an agent on a schedule. See Automate a chat.
- Work in projects. Group related chats, give them shared instructions and files, and track tasks. See Work in a project.
- Run tasks with agents. Assign a task to an agent, approve its prompt, and follow the run. See Run a task with an agent.
- Check governance. See how each agent was last assessed. See Check an agent's governance.
Where agents come from
Mission Control shows the agents and apps that have been published to your account. If a tab says No agents published to this account, nothing has been published yet. Agents are built and published in AI Studio. If you don't manage agents, ask an account administrator to publish one. To learn more, see the AI Studio overview.
