MonitorIT overview
MonitorIT shows how your monitored applications are performing, where they're failing, and which alerts they've raised. This page explains what each MonitorIT screen is for, so you can go straight to the one you need.
Before you start
- Sign in to ScoutIT AI. See Quick start.
- MonitorIT shows data for the applications and monitoring points set up in ManageIT. If a screen is empty, check Manage apps and Manage monitoring points.
The MonitorIT screens
Open any of these from the MonitorIT menu.
| Screen | Use it to |
|---|---|
| My Cloud | Scan data loss and latency for every application and monitoring point, and open charts and path details for one path. See My Cloud. |
| My Observability | Compare RPI Scores by application, location or service, and see which reliability dimensions are pulling scores down. See My Observability. |
| MSP Observability | Compare RPI Scores across your child accounts. You only see this screen if your account has child accounts. See MSP Observability. |
| My Alerts | Work through the alerts raised in a time frame, and open the detail of each one. See My Alerts. |
| Alert Summary | See how alerts are spread across applications, monitoring points and metrics, and how they trend day by day. See Alert summary. |
| My Dashboard | Chart one metric for the monitoring points you choose, side by side. See My Dashboard. |
Which screen to start with
- Something feels slow or broken. Start in My Alerts to see what has fired. Then open My Cloud to check data loss and latency on the affected path.
- You want a reliability health check. Start in My Observability and sort by lowest score first.
- You're reviewing trends with your team. Start in Alert Summary, then use My Observability to see whether the RPI Score moved at the same time.
- You're comparing locations for one app. Use My Dashboard and select the monitoring points you want to compare.
Metrics you'll see
- Latency is measured in milliseconds (ms).
- Data Loss is measured as a percentage (%).
- Data Jitter is measured in milliseconds (ms).
- The RPI Score is a reliability score out of 100. Higher is healthier. See What is the RPI Score?.
