My Cloud

My Cloud shows data loss and latency for every application, measured from each monitoring point that checks it. Use it to spot a slow or lossy path quickly, then open its charts and route.

Before you start

Choose what to show

The toolbar at the top of the page controls the whole screen.

  • Grid view and List view switch between cards and a table.
  • All Applications narrows the screen to one application.
  • All Monitoring Points narrows the screen to one monitoring point.
  • Time range sets the window the figures cover: Last 1 hour, Last 6 hours, Last 24 hours, Last 7 days or Last 30 days. The default is Last 1 hour.

Read the grid view

The grid groups cards by application. A dot next to each application name shows whether the application is Active or Inactive. Point to the dot to see which.

Each card is one monitoring point for that application, and shows:

  • Avg Data Loss and Max Data Loss, in %.
  • Avg Latency and Max Latency, in ms.
  • A bar that fills as maximum latency rises.
  • The monitoring point name.

The colour of a card tells you how the path is doing:

ColourMeaning
RedMaximum latency is 150 ms or more, or maximum data loss is 5% or more.
AmberMaximum latency is 50 ms or more, or maximum data loss is 1% or more.
GreenBoth are below those levels.

Use the list view

  1. Select List view.
  2. Type in Search to filter the table. The count above the table shows how many items match.
  3. Select a column heading to sort by it. Select it again to reverse the order.
  4. Use ‹ Prev and Next › to move between pages.
  5. Use Rows to show 10/page, 25/page, 50/page or 100/page.

The table has these columns:

ColumnWhat it shows
Application NameThe monitored application.
MP NameThe monitoring point that measured the path.
Data Loss(%)The highest data loss in the window.
Latency(ms)The highest latency in the window.
Avg Latency(ms)The average latency in the window.
Avg Data Loss(%)The average data loss in the window.
ChartOpens the charts for that path.

Open the charts for a path

  1. In the grid, select the chart icon on a card. In the list, select the chart icon in the Chart column.
  2. Review the Metric details window. It shows three charts: Latency, Data Loss and Data Jitter.
  3. To change the period, choose a different Time range in the window.
  4. Point to the line on a chart to see the value at that time.
  5. To close the window, select the close icon or select outside the window.

Each chart shows its average, its peak, the number of samples, and its minimum and maximum. If a metric has no data, the chart says No data returned for this metric in the selected window.

View the route for a path

  1. Open the charts for the path.
  2. Select View Path Info.
  3. Review the numbered list of hops between the monitoring point and the application.

If no route has been recorded, you see No traceroute data available for this path.

Troubleshooting

  • No data for this window. Widen the Time range, or set the filters back to All Applications and All Monitoring Points. If the screen stays empty, check that your account has an active AppNeta connection.
  • No matching cloud paths. The list search or filters exclude everything. Clear the search or widen the time range.
  • Couldn't load applications. Select Retry. If it keeps failing, contact support.
  • Result truncated — showing first 5000 locations. Use the filters to narrow the screen to fewer applications or monitoring points.
