My Observability

My Observability gives each application, location and service an RPI Score, so you can compare their reliability on one scale. Use it to find the lowest scores and see which reliability dimensions are pulling them down.

Before you start

What's on the page

  • Insight panel. A short summary at the top, for example how many items are healthy and which one has the lowest score.
  • Deduction Index. A panel listing the 13 Dimensions of the RPI Score and how much each one is deducting in the selected window.
  • RPI Score by Applications, RPI Score by Locations or RPI Score by Services. The main panel, with one row for each item in the current view.

Choose what to compare

  1. Select a tab: Applications, Locations or Services.
  2. Choose a Time Range: Last 1 hour, Last 6 hours, Last 24 hours, Last 7 days or Last 30 days. The default is Last 24 hours.
  3. Choose a Sort order: Score · low to high or Score · high to low. The default is Score · low to high, so the items that need attention come first.

Items with no data in the window have no score. They show — and always sort to the end.

Read the summary

The main panel heading shows four figures for the current view:

FigureWhat it shows
Apps, Locations or ServicesHow many items are in the view.
At RiskHow many items score below 98.00.
LowestThe lowest score in the view.
AverageThe average score in the view.

Read the score colours

Select the RPI color guide icon in the toolbar to see what the colours mean.

ColourBandScore range
GreenHealthy98.00 to 100.00
AmberWarning95.00 to 97.99
RedCriticalBelow 95.00

Change the layout

The main panel has three layouts. Select one of the icons at the top right of the panel:

  • Detail view shows one row per item, with a score bar.
  • Grid view shows one card per item.
  • List view shows a table with the columns Application (or Location or Service), Signals, Status and RPI.

Drill into a score

  1. Select a row or card, or select + at the end of a row.
  2. Wait for Loading detail to finish.
  3. Review the detail:
    • Samples, Breakdowns and, when available, Lowest RPI.
    • A chart. On the Applications and Locations tabs it's the RPI trend over the window, with a Below average line. On the Services tab it's Child application RPI, a bar for each application in the service.
    • A card for each breakdown, with its score and the deductions affecting it. A card with nothing to report says No active deductions.
  4. Point to the trend line to see the score at a point in time.
